In Valorant there are 5v5 shooter tactical games. In which players have to either defend or attack. The important thing while defending or attacking is precise shooting at enemies.
Many gamers practice for several days to get a good grip on the guns and many change game settings for accuracy.
In Valorant there are lots of debates about whether to disable or enable the Enhance Pointer Precision in Valornat. To become a pro player user tends to try different sensitivities, DPI, aspect ratio, etc for improvement.
Currently, Valorant is only for PC devices. In Windows devices, there are Mouse Settings that help you to “On” or “Off” the Enhance Pointer Precision. When you do that your operating devices will adjust to that settings by default.
What is Enhance Pointer Precision in Valorant?
Enhance Pointer Precision is nothing but when you move your mouse the POV of your characters changes accordingly, so it maintains the sensitivity of movement as your mouse moves the character’s eyesight will move.
Also, there are two sensitivities: one is your device, mouse sensitivity and the other is Valornat, Raw Input. In games like Valorant, it Bypasses the Windows mouse setting and uses direct Raw Input. To clarify, it doesn’t concern whether your Mouse sensitivity is too fast or too slow. It will depend upon the Valorant settings.
In simple words, if your Enhance Pointer Precision is off or on it doesn’t affect your game. If your operating system has the raw input it will directly link your sensitivity to the mouse. It cuts the middleman window setting and gets direct instructions from the Operating system like Valorant.
It depends upon you if you want to enable the Enhance Pointer Precision or not. Many games share the same settings as Windows devices. So users who try Valorant for the very first time have difficulty adjusting to the Valorant sensitivity.
If you don’t know how to turn off the Enhance Pointer Precision settings follow these steps:
- Click on Windows + R keys
- On the search bar type Control and continue
- Open the Mouse settings from there
- Now click on the Mouse properties and then open the Pointer Options.
- Disable the Enhance Pointer Precision and click ok to save.
To run Raw Input you need to have the Raw Accel in Valorant. You can run Raw Input on your device if you have
- Windows 10 or 11,
- Visuals C++ 2019 Runtime
- NET Framework 4.7.2+ Runtime
If you match the above requirements then you can download the Raw Accel from GitHub.com
That’s all you need to know about the Enhance Pointer Precision, as the Valornat directly runs through the Mouse with help of Raw Input the window sensitivity won’t affect the aim. When you move the cursor the window sensitivity won’t be able to control the sensitivity and DPI it will be directly run by the Operating System. But it’s your choice to Enable or Disable Enhance Pointer Precision.
