Baldur’s Gate 3 How to Revive Downed Characters

Battles in Baldur’s Gate 3 are difficult, and you and your characters can perish at any time. When a character’s health reaches zero, they are eliminated from the conflict, much as in other role-playing games. Death, on the other hand, might be perplexing if you are unfamiliar with how death is handled in Dungeons & Dragons.

In this Baldur’s Gate 3 character reviving tutorial, we’ll go through the game’s dying mechanism and the various methods you may use to bring your characters back to life.

How to revive characters in Baldur’s Gate 3

There are three ways to revive characters in Baldur’s Gate 3:

Use a Scroll of Revivify

Using a Scroll of Revivify is the simplest way to bring back a dead character in Baldur’s Gate 3, at least early on. Regardless of difficulty, all characters, including companions, start with a single Scroll of Revivify in their inventory, and any class can use it. That means you’ll have at least four Revivify scrolls to utilize at the start of your quest, which will provide you with lots of free resurrections until you figure out how battle works.

Cast the Revivify spell

If you have a Cleric or a Paladin in your party, after they reach level 5, they will be able to learn Revivify. Revivify requires a level 4 spell slot, so you won’t be able to use it without a long rest until you level up further and have additional spell slots, but this alternative does eliminate the need to carry Revivify scrolls. Shadowheart is a Cleric with the ability to learn Revivify at level 5.

Pay Withers 200 Gold

There is an NPC named Withers who can resurrect characters for 200 Gold. Withers may be found in the Dank Crypt, a dungeon on the beach where the Nautiloid crashes at the opening of the game.

You’ll discover a locked pair of enormous double doors in the Dank Crypt that you may lockpick to enter a big room. If you continue to the far side, you’ll come to a dead end that leads up a short set of steps to a button at the top. Interact with the button to open a door, triggering a fight with several rising skeletons.
