The newest installment of the puzzle-platforming adventure series, Trine 5: A Clockwork Conspiracy, has been released and will be available shortly. It has an entirely new plot in which the Heroes of Trine must once more band together to protect their planet from a perilous and powerful Clockwork Army.
Trine 5, the latest installment in the series, continues the tradition set by its forerunners as a 2.5D puzzle platformer with gorgeous, colorful artwork and amusing characters.
This adventure has been secretly developed by Frozenbyte and published by THQ Nordic, and it is almost ready for players to take control and save the planet of Trine.
Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince, the series’ most recent sequel, was published in 2019 and served to reignite the fire that the franchise had previous to the disappointing third installment, which took certain chances that didn’t pay off.
Trine 5 looks to be sticking with the tried-and-true format that succeeded previously. From little has been revealed thus far, it maintains the stunning colors and distinct landscapes that have been a fitting signature of the series.
Every Platform Trine 5 Will Be Available On & Its Price
Trine 5: A Clockwork Conspiracy will be released on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch. It is now represented as a Standard Edition, with the name implying that a Deluxe Edition will be released in the following months.
However, it is currently only available in the Standard Edition for $30, with pre-orders available through Amazon and the possibility to wishlist it in other places.
When the initial Trine game was released in 2009, it was solely for PC, but it has since been released on other platforms as well. Following the success of its initial game, the firm has made following titles accessible on consoles in addition to PC, owing to the series’ puzzle-platforming aspect, which works well as console games.
The game will also have local and online multiplayer options for up to four players, however no word on whether cross-platform multiplayer will be supported.
