How did Gianna and her father Kobe Bryant die?
Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gigi Bryant were part of the Mamba Sports Academy, where the duo played basketball. The Sikorsky S-76B helicopter was often used by Kobe and his family members for traveling purposes.
Also, the pilot, Ara Zobayan, was an old fellow of theirs with whom they flew consistently. But on a sad day of January 26, 2020, things took a tragic turn.
They were set to go to Thousand Oaks with Zoboyan, but the route he took that day was not the usual one. He changed the route due to fog and low visibility issues.
They went through Calabasas, which is a hilly area, and the pilot was not familiar with the surrounding area. Unaware, Zobayan thought that they were ascending with the helicopter, but in actual fact they were heading to crash into the ground, nose first.
The crash such a high impact that the bodies of the passengers were severed through the crash area. The pilot was the one people blamed for his negligence.
