All Baldur’s Gate 3 difficulty options
Baldur’s Gate has three difficulty settings: Explorer, Balanced, and Tactician. The options in Baldur’s Gate 3 have been simplified slightly, with three difficulties instead of four, but the concept remains the same.
Explorer
If you’re not interested in hard fighting with tougher enemies, Explorer is the mode for you. This is the option to choose if you want to focus on the plot, engaging with the characters, or exploring the setting. Explorer offers you and your group significant benefits in every die roll, guaranteeing you almost never fail.
Balanced
Balanced is exactly what it sounds like: a level of difficulty that is fair and balanced. This is the intended difficulty setting for Baldur’s Gate 3: hard but not harsh. This is how the DM is intended to manage the game in Dungeons & Dragons; the players are expected to win, but there is no assurance they won’t fail.
Tactician
Tactician mode is for hardcore players who wish to test the gaming mechanics. The developer tweaked each combat encounter in Tactician mode to make it more difficult. Enemies not only have greater health and deal more damage, but they are also better equipped to battle you. Tactician is more than simply a numerical boost; it’s a personalized cut of the game meant to put the top players who love to power gaming to the test.
That’s how to change difficulty in Baldur’s Gate 3 as I’ll see you in the next guide.
