Baldur’s Gate 3 is brimming with interesting and one-of-a-kind personalities that you may gradually include in your camp. Withers, a hooded skeleton, is one of the most useful people you’ll meet. Withers’ character design is unsettling, yet he also has one of the finest talents in Baldur’s Gate 3.
After you’ve recruited the undead magic-wielding to your camp, he can resurrect any deceased party members you’re travelling with. This alone makes him a very valuable acquisition that you do not want to overlook. This is what you need to do if you want to locate Withers in Baldur’s Gate 3.
Where to find Withers in Baldur’s Gate 3
The Overgrown Ruins are where you’ll find Withers. This place will be visited quite early in your game, although you can return to the Overgrown Ruins at any time. Travel via the Roadside Cliffs to the Chapel.
You’ll see a dangling rock above a gap in the ground after entering the Chapel area. Break this and descend down inside to catch a gang of bandits off guard. Take them out and look around till you come upon the Refectory entrance.
You must search for a statue that conceals a button on the wall behind it. To open the Refectory door, interact with it. The Dank Crypt follows, where you must unlock a booby-trapped sarcophagus. This will get you access to a key that will allow you to unlock the thick oak door.
This shouldn’t be too difficult for you. However, you will have to fight past numerous skeletons. With enough vision, you should be able to detect a button on the neighbouring wall if you stand in front of the enormous statue in the middle of the Crypt. Locate the button that will unlock what turns out to be Wither’s tomb at the rear left corner of the chamber, near the centre statue.
How to unlock Withers in Baldur’s Gate 3
Interact with the tomb inside the Dank Crypt to trigger a brief cutscene. The zombie NPC will appear and ask you one question: “What is the worth of a single mortal’s life?” You will have many options for responding.
That’s where to find Withers in Baldur’s Gate 3 as I’ll see you in the next guide.
