Pokemon Go: How To Evolve Cosmoem?

The latest season of Pokemon Go offers players the opportunity to evolve Protostar Pokemon, known as Cosmeon. This Pokemon itself is evolved from Cosmog and can be evolved into two other legendaries: Solgaleo and Lunala.

These legendary Pokemons are introduced in the Astral Eclipse event of Pokemon Go and do not spawn in the wild, so the only way to get them is to evolve Cosmoem into Solgaleo and Lunala. Here is a guide on that.

How To Evolve Cosmoem Into Solgaloe?

Cosmoem can be evolved into Solgaloe during the Astral Eclipse Event using 100 Cosmog candies, but the evolution should be conducted during the day. Meeting the time requirement is also important as Pokemon Go time zone matches players’ time zone. If it’s currently daytime where players live, the same time will be in the game.

How To Evolve Cosmoem Into Lunala ?

Lunala is a bat-like Pokemon that represents the moon. To evolve Cosmoem into Lunala, players must wait for the game timer to be in the Night cycle. Now use 100 Cosmog Candy during the night to evolve Cosmoem into Lunala. Cosmoem Pokemon can only be evolved once, regardless of how many candies are in a player’s possession.

How To Get Cosmog Candy?

Cosmog candies are the hardest to come across in the game. The player needs 100 Cosmog candies to evolve Cosmoem into Solgaleo and Lunala, respectively. To earn the candies, participate in a Special research task. Players can also participate in an earlier section of the Cosmic Companion research story and complete Part 8 to earn 50 Cosmog Candy easily.

Which Cosmoem Evolution Is Better?

With its resistance to Poison-type moves, Solgaleo seems to be the best option, and its available attacks include Fire, Steel, Psychic, and Grass. But if a player is looking for a Pokemon with fewer weaknesses, Lunala is a better choice. It comes with Quadruple resistance to Fighting-type moves.
