ODM Gear in Fortnite has just been introduced, inspired by the popular anime and manga series Attack on Titan. ODM Gear allows players to traverse the map with enhanced mobility and agility, just like the Survey Corps in the anime.
ODM Gear can be a game-changer in Fortnite, providing players with unprecedented mobility and agility on the battlefield. Mastering its usage can give you a significant advantage over your opponents and open new strategic options.
How to find ODM Gear in Fortnite
ODM Gear can be found in various locations across the Fortnite map. Look for supply drops marked by blue smoke that can contain ODM Gear as rare loot. Supply drops usually drop from the sky in the mid to late game, so watch them during those phases. ODM Gear can also be found in chests, especially in locations with a futuristic theme, such as Neo Tilted or Mega Mall. Check buildings, rooftops, and other high points where chests are commonly found.
How to use ODM Gear in Fortnite
Once you have obtained it, equip it like any other weapon. ODM Gear has two attachments: the ODM Boost and the ODM Grapple. The ODM Boost allows you to boost forward in any direction. In contrast, the ODM Grapple allows you to grapple onto surfaces and swing around, just like the Survey Corps in Attack on Titan.
To use the ODM Boost, aim in the direction you want to boost and press the boost button (usually the jump button). This can be used for quick evasive maneuvers, closing the gap on enemies, or reaching high vantage points. The ODM Boost consumes fuel, so keep an eye on your fuel gauge and use it strategically.
To use the ODM Grapple, aim at a surface and fire the grapple by pressing the fire button (usually the trigger or mouse button). Once the grapple attaches to a surface, you can swing around and gain momentum to propel yourself in different directions. This allows fast and dynamic movement, perfect for dodging enemy fire or reaching otherwise inaccessible areas.
When using ODM Gear, remember that it has limited fuel and durability. The fuel gauge is displayed on your HUD, and the gear will automatically unequip once the fuel runs out. The gear’s durability will also decrease with use, so be mindful of its condition and look for replacement gear if needed.
