What happened to Miracle Dota 2? Amer “Miracle-” Al-Barkawi, a member of Nigma Galaxy’s and one of their top premier carry players, has revealed that he would be joining the team’s inactive roster for the upcoming season. Miracle was a key member of Team Liquid’s lineup and was recruited by team leader Kuro “KuroKy” Takhasomi following TI6.
Miracle won The International 2017 (TI7) with Team Liquid under KuroKy’s guidance and almost became a two-time TI winner. His ambitions, however, were dashed against his former team OG at The International 2019 (TI9).

Miracle has opted to take a hiatus from the upcoming DPC season owing to health difficulties. The banner shared in Miracle’s honor emphasizes that this is actually a hiatus, and that he intends to return either after this current season or during it.
This isn’t the first time Miracle has had to stand down due to health issues. Miracle was unable to compete at ESL One Malaysia in August 2022, and the seasoned core player also missed a match in 2021. Though neither Miracle nor Nigma have revealed any specifics about Miracle’s status, it appears that the player will require some rest to fully recover.

Miracle made a statement on hisTwitter page that despite his health break, fans will still see him behind the scenes.
There has been no formal statement on Miracle’s successor as of writing. However, since the time for roster locks approaches, it is believed that Nigma Galaxy will reveal Miracle’s successor in the following days.
In the meantime, here are the confirmed players in Nigma Galaxy roster:
- T.B.A
- Syed “SumaiL” Hassan
- Ivan “MinD_ContRoL” Ivanov
- Maroun “GH” Merhej
- Kuro “KuroKy” Takhasomi
Taking a break from the game he loves wasn't an easy decision, but it is an important step @NigmaMiracle chose to take to address his health condition. We fully support him and can't wait until he's ready to come back💙💜

We'll be releasing more details during the DPC. pic.twitter.com/dvMaPhuukL
While Nigma searches for a replacement at position one, the squad just changed coaches and welcomed ImmortalFaith. A new coach may radically alter how a team plays Dota 2, and finding a new carry player who shares Nigma’s vision for the game might be the difference between relegation and promotion to Western European DPC division one.
That’s all you need to know about Miracle Dota 2 as I’ll see you in the next guide.
