GTA 5, Rockstar’s flagship game, was published over a decade ago with a plethora of in-game activities. Aside from its well-known three-character story mode, the game has an online option. The in-game character, whether a gangster or a businessman, is always needed to carry a weapon for fighting.
These weapons are ready to use, however some of them may be upgraded. When improved, these guns are classified as Mk2 weapons in GTA. However, there are special conditions for upgrading this weapon to MK2.
Before we begin, it’s important to note that not every weapon has an MK2 variation. Only the handgun, SMG, Heavy Sniper, Combat MG, and Assault Rifle may be upgraded.
How to Get MK2 Weapons in GTA Online
Before you can unlock MK2 weaponry, there are a few prerequisites you must meet, and doing so will cost you a significant amount of money.
As for facilities, you’ll need a bunker, a mobile operations center (MOC), and either an upgrade to your MOC’s weapon workshop or weapon and vehicle workshop. In GTA Online, bunkers are real estate that can be purchased for $1 to $3 million. There are 11, with the Paleto Forest Bunker costing $1.1 million being the least priced.
The MOC has a base price of $1.2 million but depending on the modification you buy, it will cost more. The price for the weapon alone is $245k, while the price for the weapon and vehicle together is $955k.
Now that you’ve spent a fortune on the necessary facilities, you can now enhance your arsenal. To achieve this, go to the weapon center on your MOC, where the upgrade button is clearly visible at the top of the list.
