AMC in collaboration with GameMill Entertainment is set to release yet another choice-based game on the hit zombie franchise – The Walking Dead: Destinies. A spin-off of The Walking Dead series, it will be a third-person action-adventure game that is set in the original locations from the comic book.
The trailer for The Walking Dead: Destinies was revealed on August 18, 2023. As per the video, the post-apocalyptic world game will focus on the events of Seasons 1-4 of the hit AMC series. Players will have the option to make choices similar to that of Rick (the protagonist) or unlock canonical events by choosing other options.

According to the official website of twddestinies, the soon-to-released game will be “available on all major consoles.” It will be available on PlayStation 4m PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and Nintendo Switch. The game is priced at $49.99 USD.

There has been no official announcement about the release date of The Walking Dead: Destinies. However, according to outlets, The Walking Dead Destinies will be released on November 14, 2023. It would have been better if the game was released in celebration of TWD’s 13th anniversary on October 31.
Characters in The Walking Dead Destinies
Since the game will recreate events from the original AMC show, characters like Glenn Rhee, Shane Walsh, Michone, Daryl Dixon, and Carl Grimes will be seen alongside Rick Grimes. Each character is going to have its own unique abilities.
The choice of forging a character’s own path can lead to some surreal events. According to the trailer, there is an option to choose between Rick and Glenn as Carl’s future mentor and father. Rick can also be seen as a walker at the end. There could be endless possibilities once fans take a different route to that of the AMC series.
