How to change spells in Baldur’s Gate 3

If your character class permits you to change spells, all you have to do is open your character sheet and pick the character whose spells you want to alter. You will see all of the possible levels, such as level 1, level 2, and so on.

Remove the ones you don’t need and choose the ones you want your character to utilize right now. This only pertains to classes that employ fixed spells, like Wizards and Clerics. The sole criterion is that you remain idle, with no actions made, which means you cannot change spells while in combat.

Make the most of your spell-casting characters by positioning them at range, with the physical and melee assaulting fighters on the front lines. How to Change Spells During Level Up

Bards, rangers, rogues, sorcerers, and warlocks do not have the option of changing spells on the fly. When you level up, you can only modify your spells.

Look for the arrow on your character’s image to level up. If there is no arrow, you must collect additional experience before leveling up.

To access the leveling up screen, click the arrow. You may have a couple additional options here, but we’re going to stick to spells. If your character has new spells, you can select them here. You may also use existing spells to replace them.

New Spells can be selected from the Spells menu on the left. The available selections will be shown at the bottom of the window. When you select one, it will display in the red Selected box in the center.
