Baldur’s Gate 3 How to Get Rid of Noxious Fumes

Players in Baldur’s Gate 3 will have to chase the monster in the middle of a boss encounter with Auntie Ethel if they wish to finish her off and liberate her captives. Unfortunately, she went a long distance away, causing the player to avoid various traps.

The Noxious Fumes, in particular, make this section very difficult . Players who are used to puzzles may be seeking for a safe way out, but there is none. Thankfully, the cure does not involve running through the Noxious Fumes, but it is located inside the fumes themselves.

How to get rid of the Noxious Fumes

You won’t be able to discover and save Mayrina unless you get beyond the Noxious Fumes, but there is a very simple way to do it. Here’s what you should do:

  • First, approach the gas slowly with the member of your party that has the highest Perception.
  • They should automatically run a Perception check and notice the Ruptured Stone in the center of the fumes.
  • Next, select a junk item you don’t care about, such as a small rock or an old piece of gear.
  • Select the Throw option.
  • Finally, target the Ruptured Stone and throw your item.

The object you toss will close the opening in the Ruptured Stone, trapping the Noxious Fumes and enabling you to pass safely. If you don’t have a trash item to utilize, you can use the little rocks at the waterfall close to the Noxious Fumes.

You may also retrieve whatever you hurled and sprint away from the vent before the gas comes back to get your stuff back if you’re quick enough. Keep in mind that this approach will work on any subsequent poison traps with vents you come across.

If you come across gas that isn’t coming through a vent, you’ll have to burn it away. This is simple to perform with any item, spell, or skill that can ignite something. Throwing a torch, if you have one, is an excellent method to achieve this without using any spells or talents.

That’s how to get rid of Noxious Fumes in Baldur’s Gate 3 as I’ll see you in the next guide.
