Before starting to create your criminal empire in Los Santos, players have a ton of options to customize their own special persona with the GTA Online character builder. You have to decide everything about your appearance, including your hair, eyes, lips, clothing, and so much more, just like any character maker. Furthermore, if you’re not entirely satisfied with your appearance, you may change it later.
Can you change gender in GTA Online?
As of today, GTA Online has no official methods for changing the gender of your character. Your selection of gender will be locked in after you exit the character creation stage of the game, where you must select either male or female. Your progress from any prior characters cannot be carried over if you decide you wish to change, therefore you must create a brand-new character.
Similarly, you are still unable to alter your gender while moving characters across consoles (for example, when moving your GTA Online profile from PlayStation 4 or Xbox One to PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S).
It’s amazing that this won’t be a feature in 2022, even as a hypothetical one-time occurrence, but Rockstar has taken that choice and is reportedly sticking with it.
How to change your GTA Online gender using a glitch
In GTA Online, there is an unauthorized technique to change your gender, but since this is unofficial, there is always a chance that you may lose progress or, worse still, be targeted by Rockstar for utilizing unauthorized solutions.
You can easily discover those unofficial walkthroughs by searching online or on YouTube, so we won’t dive into all the specifics here. However, we will mention that you must have at least GTA$ 100k in your shared bank account to begin. It’s also important to note that using these workarounds may cause your stored clothes to be deleted.
