Harvest Moon: Mineral Town Friends and Harvest Moon: More Friends of Mineral Town, like many of the previous games in the series, allows you to marry. If you want to marry one of the eligible bachelorettes or bachelors, you must meet certain prerequisites.
There are also exceptional bachelorettes and bachelors that have much higher standards and an unseen heart level, making marriage much more difficult for them.
Marriage Requirements
Here are the requirements to get married in Harvest Moon;
Heart Level
To marry a bachelor or bachelorette, you must first raise their heart level to red. When you converse to the individual, the heart level will change from black to purple, blue, green, yellow, orange, and eventually red. You may raise this by buying them presents and talking to them on a daily basis, but simply having a red heart isn’t enough!
Heart Events
Each girl or guy has four heart events that you must activate. They occur at specified times and locations; you may come upon them by chance. Higher heart events will require your bachelor or bachelorette to be at a specified heart level, otherwise you will not be able to trigger it even if you arrive at the proper place and time.
House Expansion
You must upgrade your house to the largest size. This can be done by speaking to Gotz, the carpenter and lumberjack of Mineral Town who lives south of your farm in the mountains.
Big Bed
You will also need to purchase the big bed from the Shopping Network, so your spouse will have a place to sleep when she move in with you.
Blue Feather
Finally, you must obtain the Blue Feather from the Supermarket. When your beloved woman or man’s heart level is red, this item becomes available for purchase. It is equipped like a tool, and you will use it while standing next to or in front of them as a marriage proposal. If you fulfill all of the other conditions, they should accept your proposal and you will marry in 7 days. If they decline, you have not completed all the requirements.
