Shao Kahn, the Konqueror of Realms, returns in Mortal Kombat 11 as a pre-order bonus character and secondary antagonist in the game’s Story Mode and the Aftermath expansion. He is also a playable character in the game’s online and offline modes.

Shao Kahn was a free bonus for those who pre-ordered mortal Kombat 11 on PS4, Switch, Xbox or PC before it released. 

However if you weren’t lucky to preorder the game , you might be wondering how to get Shao Kahn in Mk11. Shao Kahn can be purchased directly from the in-game store for $5.99 on any platform. 

For those who pre-ordered the game physically you should have received a physical code you can redeem to get Shao Kahn. The code is mostly printed on your receipt.

If you instead pre-ordered the game digitally, then shao Kahn should automatically be downloaded alongside the game when it was first available for preload.

How To Redeem Shao Kahn Codes

PlayStation 4

1. In the home menu, go to the PlayStation store
2. In the left of the store from the list of store categories select “redeem codes”
3. Enter your code and press X to continue 
4. The content you are redeeming will appear. Select the confirm option and press X .

Xbox

1. In the home menu , head to the Microsoft store
2. Select  ” Use a code ” option.
3. Enter your code. Select Next to confirm

Nintendo Switch 

1. In the home menu, go to the ” Nintendo eShop”.
2. On the left side of the screen, select  ” Enter code”
3. Enter your code
4. Select  “Send” to confirm and the game will automatically begin downloading once the code is confirmed.

How To Download Shao Kahn in MK11

In most cases,Shao Kahn will automatically begin downloading once you redeem your code. If this does not happen , you can follow the steps below to manually download Shao Kahn.

PlayStation 4

1. On your ps4 home menu, go to the Mortal Kombat 11 page.
2. Choose the game and scroll down to the bottom in ” Related items” section 
3. From my Add-ons section you can manually download Shao Kahn.

Xbox

1. In the home menu , go to my games and apps 
2. Find Mortal Kombat 11 and press menu on your controller.
3. Select Manage Game.
4. On the right, you will see a list of what DLCs are ready to install. Select shao Kahn and begin installing.

Nintendo Switch

1. In the home menu, find Mortal Kombat 11 and press + on your controller.
2. Select software information > Nintendo eShop
3. Head down to downloadable content and select ‘ View all items ‘
4. Find shao Kahn and start your download.
