Sorceress Sellen Questline Witchbane Ruins NPC
It’s all about the storyline. You will find Sorceress Sellen after defeating the pumpkin head boss, waypoint ruins in Limgrave. she is waiting for you in the backdoor.
When you reach there she will introduce you to her magic. She will offer you to learn the magic under her. You have to select yes, to reach further in the Elden Ring.
As you click on the yes, she will introduce the quest. To continue your journey in the Elden Ring you have to complete the quest. The quest will lead you to Witchbane Ruins NPC, where you aim to free sellen.
Sellen, the witchbane ruins NPC in Elden Ring
Before you the main quest. You have to defeat the other bosses. After slaying two bosses you can continue to witchbane ruins NPC.
First of all, you have to complete the other quest before reaching witchbane ruins. You need to defeat the Raya Lucaria Academy, Rennala. After that, you need to kill the starscourge Radahn at Redmane castle.
After defeating the Radahn, Sorceress Sellen’s soul will appear on the screen and she will guide you to Witchbane Ruins. Witchbane Ruins is located at Weeping Peninsula, where her body is captured.
Now you have to find her chained body. You will find her body in the Walking Mausoleum, take the staircase, and head down, you will find a cellar there.
As you enter in celler you will notice Sorceress Sellen’s body is chained to the wall. Go talk to her and free her, as a reward she will give you Primal Glinstone.
The quest is not complete yet, you haven’t completely free-sellen yet. You have to take the primal Glinstone to the other Sellen that is different from the Limgrave and Witchbane Ruins.
Now, follow your journey between ranni’s rise and Renna’s rise. You will find out there is a secret floor between rows of archways. To get your way on the floor, jump twice or attack twice downward.
After you broke the floor, you will be able to see the staircase there. Follow the staircase and it will lead you to inauspicious messages which you have to ignore.
There is a hidden wall behind that message. As you go there you will find the real Sellen and freed the witchbane ruins NPC. You have to give her primal Glinstone back.
Witchhunter Jerren
There is one other task, you have to reach Redmane Castle. In Redmane castle you will find the Witchhunter. Now talk with Witchhnuter Jerren and come back to Witchbane Ruins.
As you reach back to Witchbane Ruins cellar where you rescued sellen, you will again find the Witchhunter Jerren, you have to again talk to Jerren. After that, reach back to Raya Lucaria, where you defeated Rennala.
Pick between Sellen and Jerren
As you enter Raya Lucaria, head to the boss room door. There you have to make a choice between which one you want to select, jerren or Sellen. We have listed the difference between Jerren and Sellen.
If your choice is Sellen and you kill Jerren, you will get the following:
- Eccentric Armour set
- Glintstone Kris Dagger
- Shard spiral sorcery
- Witch’s Glintstone crown
If your choice is Jerren and you kill Sellen, you will get the following:
- Ancient dragon-smithing stone
- Rune Arc
- Furlcalling Finger Ready
- Witch’s Glintstone crown
You can choose any of the options as per your skills. Your reward will be in a library,
