Popular shooting game Garena Free Fire is set to conquer the Indian market once again. Banned in February 2022 due to national security issues, Garena International partnered with Yotta to make Free Fire available in the country and promote esports as per a MOU signed with the Uttar Pradesh government in June.
During a press conference, Garena mentioned that they postponed the release date of Garena Free Fire India for a few weeks to ensure the best possible gaming experience. The local cloud hosting and storage facilities of the game will be under the control of Yotta, a Hiranandani Group company, avoiding any security threats.
Safety measures such as a verification system to enable parental supervision, gameplay limitations, and ‘take a break’ reminders can be found in Garena Free India.
M.S. Dhoni is the brand ambassador of Garena Free Fire India
Former Indian captain and World Cup winner, Mahendra Singh Dhoni is the face of Free Fire India. He is also present as a playable character in the shooting game. According to rumors, the developers will introduce Thala-themed skins for glue walls, backpacks, grenades, pan skins, and weapons.
Dhoni’s bike-loving craze will be seen in Free Fire India as motorcycles are going to be themed Thala-style. There will also be a few new emojis, with the craze especially for the Helicopter Shot emoji, a cricket stroke that was made famous by M.S. Dhoni.
