There are only two ways to change shells in Mortal Shell. The first method is by returning to the tower in Fallgrim. Inside the tower, you will see the shells you have collected in a room called the mausoleum.

So, to swap to another shell, go near the one you want and interact with it. This place will also help you to know where new shells can be found; just follow the previous procedure to interact with the shell, and you can easily switch between many shells with the same method.
If you don’t want to follow procedures such as switching your shell by visiting the tower, then you need to use a special item renowned as a consumable effigy. You can get these effigies for each shell you have seen or have, but they are not very common to be found, and it takes a lot of time to get them, so take note of that before trying this method.
