Generally, there are two ways to get Grade 3 Thanalan Topsoil, if you have enough Gil (FFXIV in-game currency) then you can easily purchase it from the market board. Secondly, if you don’t have enough Gil then you can get Topsoil from trading using Poetics.
If you have a good amount of poetic tomestones but don’t have enough Gil. Well, then you also obtain the Grade 3 Thanalan Topsoil from the market board in FFXIV. In this, you need to use the Allagan Tomestones of Poetics to get the Topsoil.
You need to do a trade to convert the Tomestones into the Topsoil however most of the players don’t know about it.
You need to visit the tombstone of the poetics vendor. You will find the vendor in Idyllshire and you can also encounter another vendor. So make sure to interact with both of them because most vendors don’t sell the same items.
Just beneath the Allagan Tomestones of Poetics (Special Arms) you will see the untradeable item called “Unidentifiable Ore” make sure to purchase as much of this ore as you can from the vendor. This will cost you 150 Poetics for each ore.
Once you have Unidentifiable Ore you need to reach the Bertana of Uncanny Knicknacks. There you need to interact with Bertana the sells Grade 3 Thanalan Topsoil in exchange for Unidentifiable Ore.
More importantly, if you also want Grade 3 Shroud Topsoil then you can also get it by purchasing the Unidentifiable Shell for 150 Poetics and then easily exchanging them with Bertana for Shroud Topsoil.
