Following the Charmander Community Day Classic, Niantic revealed that the next event community event will feature Grubbin. The Larva Pokemon belonging to Generation 7 is a Bug-type Pokemon that eventually changes to a dual Electric/Bug type. Here is everything to know about Pokemon Go Grubbin Community Day.
Pokemon Go Grubbin Community Day will occur on September 23, 2023, beginning at 2:00 P.M. and ending at 5:00 P.M. LT. During this time, Grubbin will appear more frequently in the wild along with its shiny variant. It has two evolutionary forms, namely Charjabug (25 Candy) and Vikavolt (100 Candy).
The Featured Move for the Community Day is going to be Volt Switch. The Electric-type Fast Move does 12 damage in trainer battles and 14 damage in Gyms and Raids. It generates 21 energy per second, which is overly impressive for the League battles.
Pokemon Go Grubbin Community Day bonuses
Two fan-favorite bonuses will be active during the event relating to catching Pokemon. Note that those marked with (*) will be active from 2:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M. local time, five hours after the Grubbin Community Day event ends.

- Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) duration will be three hours.
- Grubbin may photobomb Go snapshots during Community Day.
- One additional Special Trade can be made for a maximum of two for the day.*
- Trades will require 50% less Stardust.*
How to get Volt Switch Fast Move during the Grubbin Community Day?
During the event or up to five hours afterward (10 P.M. LT), evolve a Charjabug (Grubbin’s evolution) after feeding it 100 Candy and when near a Magnetic Lure to get a Vikavolt that knows the Fast Move Volt Switch. This move can be combined with Discharge Charged Move to get STAB and apply Shield Pressure on PvP opponents.
Pokemon Go Grubbin Community Day Raid Battle
Charjabug will be available as a Four-Star Raid Boss after the Pokemon Go Grubbin Community Day ends at 5 P.M. LT. Defeating the Raid Boss will result in a special encounter with Charjabug and there will be an increased number of Grubbin appearing near the Gym where the raid was completed.
Lucky trainers may obtain a Shiny Grubbin amidst the increased spawns. Given that it is a dual Bug/Electric type Pokemon, it is weak to Fire-type and Rock-type attacks. Heatran, Tyranitar, Groudon, and Skeledirge are ideal counters for the Charjabug Raid Boss.
