Petrification can be induced by a variety of factors, including spells, traps, and enemy abilities.

To avoid or mitigate the impacts of Petrification, proper strategy and preparation are required. Some characters may have talents or skills that can erase or resist Petrification.
How To Cure Petrification in BG3?
In Baldur’s Gate 3, you can heal Petrification by using particular spells or abilities that have the ability to reverse the affliction. Certain products or potions can also cure or temporarily protect against Petrification. The following are two techniques for curing Petrification in creatures:
Stone To Flesh Spell
Stone to Flesh is a fifth-level cleric spell that can resurrect a petrified monster. The spell’s instantaneous nature assures that it has an immediate effect. To perform the spell, the caster must have a minimum Wisdom score of 15.
They must also have access to the cleric’s spellbook. A pinch of dirt and a drop of blood are the spell’s material elements. When the spell is performed, the target creature reverts to its original shape. Before becoming petrified, the creature is also healed of any ailments or poisons. To avert annihilation, the creature must succeed at a DC 15 Fortitude save.
Basilisk Oil
In Baldur’s Gate 3, Basilisk Oil is a potion that players can take to treat Petrification. It’s a viscous, gray oil taken from a basilisk’s gullet. When administered to a petrified creature, it has a 50% chance of healing it. If they don’t, they’ll receive 1d6 points of acid damage.
Basilisk Oil is a hazardous but potentially effective therapy for Petrification. If you can’t find a cleric who can perform the Stone to Flesh spell, you can use Basilisk Oil instead. Just keep in mind that there’s a risk it won’t work, and if it doesn’t, the monster will suffer harm.
