It is almost time for the Pokemon Go World Championship. Emanating from Yokohama, Japan, the tournament will be held for three days starting from August 11. The first day will feature a double-elimination bracket till the top 32, the second day will feature a double-elimination bracket, and the Grand Finale will be held on the third day.
The Pokemon Go Masters event will be celebrated globally with the debut of two new Pokemon, exciting Raids, and PvP bonuses. Trainers will also have a chance to obtain Exclusive Timed Research through codes. These codes will be valid through August 20, 2023, at 12:00 A.M. UTC. More on that below.
Pokemon Go World Championship Exclusive Research Event
Yesterday, the official Twitter account of Pokemon Go revealed that trainers who watch the Pokemon Go World Championship live stream on Twitch will be awarded redeemable in-game coupon codes. The codes will begin on Friday, August 11, at 12:00 PM Local Time and end on Saturday, August 12, at 8:00 PM Local Time.
In order to get a code to unlock the Pokemon Go World Championship Exclusive Research, follow these simple processes.
- Login or Sign up to Twitch. It is necessary to have an account to get the code.
- During the live stream, there will be a panel below the Twitch stream window on the Pokemon GO Twitch channel. Click Share Twitch ID to track your watch time.
- Watch the Pokemon Go Masters event live stream for 30 minutes.
- A button labeled Claim Your Code will appear. Click it to reveal your code.
- Click on the revealed code to copy it to your clipboard.
- Redeem the code via the Niantic Offer Redemption page.
- An exclusive timed research will pop up in the Pokemon Go game.

Pokemon Go World Championship Exclusive Research Event rewards
There will only be one code dropped in each day during the event. As such, trainers will have the chance to receive two exclusive Timed Research codes when they watch 30 minutes of the live stream on August 11 and August 12, respectively.
Day 1: Great League Greatness Timed Research
Redeeming Day 1’s code will give trainers exclusive Timed Research focused on battling basics. 8000 Stardust, a Premium Battle Pass, and a Star Piece are some of the many rewards that can be obtained after completing the research. You can also choose your reward encounter from a pool of the following Pokemon:-
Pool 1: Skarmory (Steel/Flying), Swampert (Water/Ground), Vigoroth (Normal)
Pool 2: Noctowl (Normal/Flying), Lanturn (Water/Electric), Trevenant (Ghost/Grass)
Pool 3: Azumarill (Fairy/Ice), Umbreon (Dark), Mandibuzz (Dark/Flying)

Day 2: DancingRob’s Champion Timed Research
Redeem Day 2’s live stream code will allow trainers to get exclusive Timed Research that honors the 2022 Pokemon GO Master Division World Champion, DancingRob. Rewards include one of the key Pokemon that helped him become a champ – Galarian Stunfisk – along with an Elite Charged TM, and many more.
