Shiny Caterpie is one Pokemon you don’t wanna miss in your Pokedex in Pokemon Go. This Bug-type Pokemon, which is a first-generation Pokemon, received its shiny version back in 2018.

Note that the odds of encountering a Shiny Caterpie among the Caterpie you encounter are 1/450. So you will definitely need to make a lot of attempts before finding one.

The other method is defeating Caterpie in Raid Battles. Caterpie can be found as a raid boss and if you are able to defeat him, you will have him in your possession. If luck is on your side, it might just be a Shiny Caterpie.

You can increase your chances of encountering Shiny Caterpie by using Incense or a Lure to increase the number of Pokemon that spawn near you. It is also best if you look for Caterpie in Squares and Parks as these are its favourite locations.
