Pokemon Go: A Breakdown of July Events

Season 11 of Hidden Games has proven rewarding for Pokemon Go trainers worldwide. The ongoing event, lasting till September, has activated bonuses of additional trade per trade, candy per trade, and guaranteed XL candy in trades for level 31 and above trainers. Sandygast, Palosand, and Carbink were introduced last month and much more is to come in Pokemon Go’s July Events.

From June 29 – July 6, Mega Sableye and Heatran will be available in the Raids. The Dark Flame Event will also give trainers the opportunity to grab various Shiny Pokemons, depending on the route. Pool for the Field Research Pokemons includes Sabelye, Audino, Furfrou, Noibat, Beldum, and Goomy.

Pokemon Go Events in July 2023

July 1 – July 2 (Saturday, 12 A.M. LT to Sunday 11: 59 A.M. LT): July will begin with the ‘Go Battle Weekend: Clay‘ event in which PvP battlers can get a ton of rewards. 4x Stardust will be awarded for wins (not stacking with Master League rotation weeks).

Along with a 4x increase in the number of sets (100 battles in total) and a Paid battle-themed Timed Research for $1 USD is going to be available. The free battle-themed event Timed Research will include a Clay-style Hat as one of the rewards.

July 6 – July 12 (Thursday, 10 A.M. LT to Wednesday, 8 P.M. LT): The Pokemon Go 7th Anniversary Party will mark the return of the legendary trio of birds. Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres will headline 5-Star Raids. Mega Blastoise will be available in Mega Raids. More features will be added later.

July 9 (Sunday, 2 P.M. to 5 P.M. LT): Community Day is a unique event. On this day, a Pokemon chosen from the Go community wishlist appears more often in the wild along with its Shiny forms.

July 9 will feature Squirtle as the Community Day Pokemon. Evolve it to Wartotle by 7 P.M. LT that day to make it learn the Hydro Cannon attack. Field Research reward includes Squirtle with Sunglasses version.

July 15 – July 16 (10 A.M. to 8 P.M. LT): Pokemon Go Catching Some Z’s event is believed to feature Snorlax in appreciation for the global release of the Pokemon Sleep game on July 14. Spawn rates for Snorlax could be increased.

Also, as per the official website, “If you pair your Pokémon GO Plus + with Pokémon GO, you’ll be able to undertake Special Research in which you can encounter Snorlax wearing a nightcap.”

July 22 (2 pm to 5 P.M. LT): There isn’t much information about Riolu Hatch Day. It is believed that the Fighting-type Baby Pokemon will be appearing in eggs that require 2 KM to hatch. Clear space in the inventory and stock up Stardust to get ready.

July 27 ( 10:00 AM to August 2, 2023, 8:00 P.M. LT): The Pokemon Go Adventure Week is usually to debut new characters.

Last year in June, Tyrant and Amaura got introduced while Aerodactyl featured in the Mega Raids, who is also on the cover for this year’s Adventure Week. Is another Mega Aerodactyl Raid coming up? Time will tell.

Other Pokemon Go Events to watch out for in July 2023

July 25 – August 4: Mega Tyranitar will appear in the Raids. Lucky trainers could also encounter a Shiny version of the Armor Type Pokemon. Niantic has also tried to restore it to its former glory by giving Tyranitar the Brutal Swing move. That week, Regidargo will appear in the 5-star Raids.

July 30: Ninatic hasn’t announced the Pokemon for the July 30 Community Day although it is believed to be Poliwag. The upcoming month will be one of the rare ones where two Community Days are being held.

Pokemon Go July Spotlight Hours

Spotlight Hours are events in which the spawn rate for a certain Pokemon is increased. Trainers can hunt for Shinies or even power up their preferred Pokemon. The Doduo Spotlight Hour ended on June 27 and the special bonus was 2x Evolution XP.

Below is the list of Pokemon Go Spotlight Hours in July and the bonuses associated with the day:-

July 4, 2023 – Rufflet – 2x Stardust for catching Pokemon.

July 11, 2023 – Wallmer – 2x EXP for catching Pokemon.

July 18, 2023 – Rhyhorn – 2x Candy for catching Pokemon.

July 25, 2023 – Yungoos – 2x Candy for transferring Pokemon.

August also promises to be special for trainers all across the globe. The standout Event for that month is the Pokemon Go Fest 2023, which is scheduled to be held on August 26. Participants in the Fest will be able to catch Mega Rayquaza while a set of bonuses will be available for all players.
