Pokemon Go Noxious Swamp Event: Shiny Skrelp debuts

The Go Fest in New York City will be celebrated globally with a first-of-its-kind Noxious Swamp Event. A few rare and powerful Poison- and Dark-type Pokemon are going to appear in the wild and Raids. The event will also mark the debut of Shiny Skrelp, which evolves into Dragalge when fed 400 Candy.

Pokemon Go published a blog post to announce the Noxious Swamp Event will begin on August 19, 2023, at 10:00 PM Local Time and end on August 22, 2023, at 8:00 PM Local Time. Along with Skrelp, Axew, Dratini, and Tentacool will be appearing more frequently in the wild. These Dragon and Poison types are valuable assets in the Go Leagues so make sure to stock up on the Candy, thereby capitalising on the active bonuses.

Noxious Swamp Event bonuses and wild spawns

The Froakie Community Day on August 13 helped trainers pile up on Stardust. They can use that to upgrade their Pokemons obtained in the Noxious Swamp Event. Trainers will get double candy per catch during the event, and get one additional free Raid Pass per day from spinning Gym Photo Discs. Also, Team GO Rocket balloons will appear more frequently so trainers don’t have to search for them.
