What is a Fisherman’s Friend Quest in FFXIV?

‘A Fisherman’s Friend’ is a quest in Endwalker’s MSQ. As players go through the quest, they need to help a fisherman named Matsya, who lives near the beach.

One day, Matsya catches a mysterious fish and asks the player to help him sell it. The Fisherman’s Friend Quest requires players to find Matsya and NPCs found in the Endwalker MSQ.

The quest starts when Matsya asks the player to help him sell some fish he has caught. It is long, has many choices, and many people think it can be completed only by experts. However, you will be able to complete it relatively easily.

The Fisherman’s Friend quest has three main objectives:

Find three other NPCs to help out on your quest.
Find Matsya.
Sell some fish he catches.
Make them into food for the townspeople.

After finding these three people, you will have to have a conversation with them, speak with Matsya again, and finally, help him sell his fish.

When players reach him, they will be asked three questions to help with their sales pitch, and then they will meet up with three other NPCs who also need help making sales pitch for their products or services.

After helping everyone else, you’ll need to find and speak with Matsya again before helping him sell his fish once more.
