Pokemon Go Primal Groudon Raid: Counters, weaknesses, and more

The Global Go Fest 2023 has begun and there will be some monster Pokemon up for grabs including Primal Groudon and Mega Rayuaza. Both legendaries have shiny odds of 1 in 20. This article will focus on the Pokemon Go Primal Groudon Raid and how a minimum number of five trainers can counter the Hoenn region beast.

Groudon will be part of the Primal Raids in Pokemon Go from August 23 to August 26, starting and ending at 10 AM LT. It does not have much utility in CP-capped leagues but when maxed out, Master League trainers could have some solid play with the dual Fire/Ground-type Pokemon. Mud Shot Quick Move combined with the event-exclusive/Elite TM-exclusive Precipice Blades Charged Move is its best moveset.

Here is everything to know about Pokemon Go Primal Groudon Raid Boss.

Primal Groudon weakness and counters in Pokemon Go

Due to its dual typing, Primal Groudon takes 2X Super Effective damage from water-type and ground-type attacks. It can be easily countered by the following Pokemon and their recommended moveset for the Tier 5 Raid:-

  • Primal Kyogre: Waterfall and Surf
  • Mega Swampert: Water Gun and Hydro Cannon
