Rkyard first appeared in Elden Ring as God-Devouring Serpent and then the second phase is the cutscene will begin. Mainly there are two ways to reach Rkyard, first is simply completing the questline Volcano Manor’s headmistress, Tanith.
You need to complete Rya’s request in Liurnia or finish the perilous climb up the mountain. After this you need to talk with Tanith she is located at the site of grace. She will offer you the Drawing-Room Key and first assassination contact. If the player is able to complete all the Tanith quests, she will give you access to Rykard’s lair.
You need to enter the first room available in the right direction of the manor with the help of the key that you can obtain from the mistress. There is a hidden wall on the right side of the room from the side of the grace.

Once you reach the Rykard you find it at the center of the room. Just after entering the room, you will find the Serpent-Hunter on the left side of the room just after the door. Players need to use the Serpent-Hunter in order to defeat the Rykard. Because this weapon through waves attacks and Rykard is surrounded by lava other weapons won’t work against him.
First Phase of the Fight
In the first phase of the fight, you need to use the Serpent Hunter to defeat the God-Devouring Serpent. Simply use the attack and doge fighting style to defeat the God-Devouring Serpent.
The best way to defeat Rkyard in the first phase is to find a safe place to strike the attacks. Try to focus on the snake head, and make sure to use the shield. Using these fighting tactics will require less stamina and you can able to fight for a longer time period.

After defeating the Rykard you will get the Remembrance of the Blaspemous and Rykard’s Great Rune. After getting the loot activate the Site of Grace and then obtain the Eye Surcoat from Rkyard’s body.
Return to Volcano Manor and talk to the headmistress, Tanith about the competition of the chain quest. After that return to return to the boss room and see the disturbing cutscene.
